Oldfield is one of those Lowcountry places that does half of the job for you. There is ivy on everything, horses grazing under the oaks and a dock running out over the marsh.

Abby and Ben's weekend started the night before with a party around the pool and under the pergola, with everybody in bright shirts and a long golden light across the lawn. I love shooting those because people are relaxed and nobody is thinking about the camera yet.

The Day

The dress hung from a pine while everyone got ready. They saw each other for the first time on a garden path, with the bouquet in peach poppies and pink, and then we took our time under the oaks.
