Savannah Engagement Photos
Where I would take you, when to go and what to wear, after years of shooting these around town.

Places To Take Engagement Pictures In Savannah
Forsyth Park is the classic, with the fountain, the oaks and light that gets better as the afternoon goes on. Go during the week to avoid the crowds. Wormsloe has the famous oak avenue and it is much quieter. Tybee Island is the closest beach to the city, and some parts of it face west so you can actually get a sunset. Downtown gives you ironwork, brick and quiet streets like Jones Street. The Railroad Museum is for couples who want something less expected.
And then there are the spots I do not write about. Tell me what you love and I will take you to one.
When To Go
Book the last two hours of daylight, or very early morning. Weekday sessions mean fewer tourists in the frame. Spring brings the azaleas, and fall brings softer, cooler evenings. See my light guide for the sun times.
What To Wear
Soft solids and light patterns sit beautifully against green oaks and old brick. Avoid anything too close to the color of the place you picked. Bring one more dressed up outfit if you want variety. Forsyth Park has a cafe that makes for an easy spot to change. Comfortable shoes for the walk and nice ones for the photos.
Why Do One At All
You get to practice with me before the day. Most people tell me they feel awkward in front of a camera. By the end of an hour together you won't, and that shows in your wedding photos.
Your Date
Tell me where you are getting married and I will tell you how I would photograph it.
